SAMPLING WITHIN THE LABORATORY
Reception in the laboratory
When you arrive at the laboratory, a receptionist will take charge of you and set up your computer file. He or she will collect all the information needed to take the samples, carry out the analysis and deliver your results. To do this, it will ask you :
1) The prescription containing the tests prescribed by your doctor. If you do not have a prescription, an in-house prescription will be presented to you.
2) Proof of membership and documents from your insurance company confirming that you are covered.
3)A patient form to enter your personal details
4) For specific analyses

Samples are taken in specific rooms in accordance with regulatory and standard requirements (single-use equipment) and in compliance with hygiene rules (hand washing).
Prepare your direct debit
For reliable exam results, prepare yourself so that your exam is carried out in the best possible conditions!
During the 24 hours prior to sampling
Avoid strenuous physical activity
The evening before after 8pm
Stop eating. Stop drinking alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, fruit juices, etc. You can drink water in moderate quantities.
The morning of the sampling.
Do not eat breakfast Do not smoke You can drink water (a small amount)
Do not take any medicines
During the 10-15 min before sampling

Strict fasting / Analyses at specific times
A young strict of 12 hours:
Cholesterol / HDL/ LDL/ Triglycerides / Apo A/ Apo B
Prolactin (between 8am and 12pm) after a 20-minute rest
A strict 8-hour fast:
Blood glucose
Some analyses have to be taken at 8am:
Cortisol
ACTH
Withdrawal before noon :
Iron
CTF
Dosage of medicines:
Sample taken before the new medication is taken at the same time
Physiological pre-sampling conditions and the need for clinical information
